Axil Adhesives Ltd was founded in 2004 as a subsidiary of Chemique Adhesives and Sealants. The Company was formed to spearhead a move into the high tech adhesive market – adhesives to replace mechanical devices and fixings. We are now able to bond materials in ways that were not thought possible – many of our customers have been able to develop new product lines purely based on their ability to use adhesives to fix materials they have previously been unable to handle.
Superglues/ Cyanoacrylates bond in seconds and can be used on an increasingly wide range of substrates. Rubber toughened grades offer superior impact and weather resistance. .
Toughened acrylics/ methacrylates are the “Rambo” of the adhesive world. Offering bond strengths in excess of welded joints, they require little or no surface preparation.
Our Threadlockers, replace lock washers, spring washers and other thread fixings. Tests show that they are a far more efficient method of preventing bolts loosening over time than mechanical methods- and they work out much cheaper!
Ultra Violet curing adhesives are ideal for production line environments – they cure in as little as 3 seconds. Since cure is caused by exposure to certain wavelengths of UV radiation, cure is “on demand” – it doesn’t dry until you want it to.

Chemique also has its own engineering department able to design, specify, install and maintain adhesive application equipment.
